Here is an interview I gave on reading: http://www.thereadinglists.com/david-rothschild-reading-list/. I want to highlight two questions:
For someone starting out in your career, which three books would you make required reading and why?
Barbarians at the Gate by Bryan Burrough and John Helyar, The Undoing Project by Michael Lewis, and Let My People Surf by Yvon Chouinard. The first is what shaped my view of unbridled capitalism. It is as relevant today as it was the day it was published. The second provides the basis of behavioral economics. The third describes work/life balance (which I don't attain, but strive for).
Name a book that you feel everyone would benefit from reading and explain why?
Everything is Obvious by Duncan Watts, it will be obvious after you read it.
